Ealing hits the BEAT with OPEN Studios and Red 242

Waitrose support
Last year while at RACC  I was made aware of Richmond's OPEN Studios weekends (June and July this year)  and this idea of getting people out to see what 'makers' are doing seems a good one.

The idea around many of these  initiatives is to spark an interest, the various venues that are opened up over a weekend to celebrate creativity in some form or another can just be nice or lead you to thinking about doing something yourself.

2016 sees a new kid on the West London calendar with Ealing on the starting-block for a September event (it's called BEAT)- you can support the scheme in many ways - even down to putting your Green Waitrose Tokens in their bin for Community Matters at the West Ealing store.

Anise Gallery

Gurley's prints feature New York and Cycles

Back in the Shad area of London earlier in the week and took the chance to visit The Anise Gallery again - nice prints on show (What happens in the Print Room) by Gurley.

It's a pleasure to visit this small friendly gallery  and I really liked the prints that were folded to have a 3D presence- exhibition runs until March 24th .

Red 242

Not purple but like it's 1999

A touch of regality?
